How do I place an order for lumber, hardware, or building materials?

Once the quote is accepted and payment terms have been agreed upon, you will then schedule a delivery date or arrange pick-up with one of our Representatives.

Does Totem Lumber & Millwork do material lists from plans?

Yes, we do material take-offs.

How do I establish an in-house account?

To establish and in house account, click on the link on the website for credit application, download it and fax it to: 800-801-5031.

How long does it take to receive a quote?

We endeavor to have your quote request completed in one business week. Smaller projects can be done faster.

What credit cards do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Who will take responsibility for measurement confirmations?

As the Customer, you and/or/in-conjunction with your General Contractor (GC) are responsible for all measurement confirmations.

What is FSC?

FSC stands for “Forest Stewardship Council” and is the dominant lumber certification standard in the US. The FSC is a global organization that promotes forest management practices. Its standards protect forests, water quality, wildlife habitats and local communities. The FSC issues a Chain of Custody Certificate to lumberyards (like us) that guarantees that all stages of lumber processing and distribution from each chain to the next are compliant with FSC principles. Totem Lumber and Millwork is FSC Certified.

What is LEED?

LEED stands for “Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design” and is a point-based system for rating the energy performance and overall green qualities of homes and commercial structures. If builders want LEED points in the lumber category, they are required to buy FSC lumber from a yard with an FSC-certified Chain of Custody registration.
